WeisTechHockey.com have a free online coaching refresher course that has just started. Even if you have never coached it is worth a look as it might help your game or at least make your coach’s life easier

It is based around short, ( 5 mins), videos and covers the following areas.

It appears that plans to close the Magnum are on hold. This article states that talks between council and health board management have broken down.
Is Auchenharvie still being redeveloped or will the revamped magnum replacement now have an ice rink? The good news is that whatever happens the Magnum closing date will probably be pushed back.
* Scottish Ladies currently train at the Magnum Leisure Centre in Irvine.
My sister just called to say that the camp is awesome and the coach’s are great. She is physically exhausted but there is a mix of on & off ice activities to allow recovery time.
Dundee is also a great rink and I’d rather be there than at work today.
Scottish Ladies couldn’t make it to the Dundalk tournament and because of this the tournament was cancelled. In a twist of fate the rink now appears to be shut due to technical problems.
If you are interested in attending the womens camp in Dundee on the 12th July please see attachment regarding booking and also payment.
They are looking for 50 girls/womens to take part so can you ask everyone if you know any other girls/women at your local rink please pass this info on. The more we get the bette it will be for all.

Dumfries Ice rink is shut for renovation but that is where the school of excellence is based. The poster and document both mention Dumfries and this can be a little confusing
The school in July is at Dundee Ice Arena. It is £70 and runs from 09:00 to 18:15.
The site is here to try and pull together women’s ice hockey in Scotland and Scottish women who play ice hockey here and abroad.
